The CD-S1.2 plays CDs and offers the possibilty to process external, digital signals via an optical, coax or USB input. Those are converted through the Burr-Brown chip PCM 1796. In the analog section the signal is conditioned through two 6N16 tubes which are responsible for a homogeneous and distinctive sound.
