Simply lower the cartridge gently onto the gel and then lift up.The Goka Dust-Off Stylus Cleaning Gel is a sticky polyurethane polymer tool used to safely lift microscopic dust and gunk off a turntable needle. To use it, place the container on your turntable plinth or platter, and gently lower and raise the stylus tip onto the gel two to three times.
How to Use a Gel Stylus Cleaner
- Place the gel container on a flat surface near your turntable.
- Use your tone arm’s cueing lever to gently lower the stylus straight down onto the gel and lift it back up.
- Repeat this dipping motion two or three times.
- Never scrub, drag, or move the stylus sideways across the gel.
- Wash the gel periodically under cool water and let it air dry when it collects too much visible dust.
- #Do not move the tonearm sideways while it is stuck in the gel. This can result in the fragile diamond tip breaking
