The Shanling EM5 DAC Desktop Streaming Digital Music Player Headphone Amplifier is part of our new desktop line, build around the same streaming player we introduced with the M30.

EM5 was designed as a DAC/AMP for high-end headphones, with a range of different connectors, including balanced XLR and 4.4mm. It can also be used as a DAC and pre-amplifier when combined with a separate power amplifier or active speakers.

Hi there! How can we be of assistance?

Shanling started in 1988 as a traditional Hi-Fi company, designing and manufacturing machines for home hi-fi and stereo speakers. But in the last few years, we focused more on the portable market, with out players, earphones and Bluetooth products. This is changing in 2021 and we are going back to our roots of home audio.

SEPARATED POWER SUPPLY
To achieve the ideaL sound performance in such complicated device, we decided to split the power supply between two sections. Analog components are powered by a small and highly efficient toroidal transformer, in combination with high-performing German capacitors, helping to achieve cleaner and smoother sound.

To provide you with our typical smooth and natural sound, we picked a classic AKM AK4493EQ DAC chip for Shanling EM5 DAC Desktop Streaming Digital Music Player Headphone Amplifier. Combined with high-quality power supply, Hi-Res playback capabilities and Our 33 years of design experience, you can expect true Hi-Fi sound.
